Who we are
ApplyBean AI ("we", "us", "ApplyBean") operates applybean.com. For any privacy question, contact info@applybean.com.

Data we collect
- Account: email, name, avatar (from sign-in provider).
- CV data: the CV file you upload and the structured fields we extract (skills, experience, contact info).
- Preferences: target roles, location, work arrangement, application limits.
- Usage: matches generated, applications logged in the tracker, cover letters generated.
- Technical: IP, browser, device (via standard server logs).

How we use it
- To analyze your CV, score matches, and generate tailored cover letters.
- To operate the auto-apply flow and the application tracker.
- To send transactional emails (verification, application confirmations, weekly digests you opted into).
- To improve product quality — never to sell your data.

AI processing
We use Google Gemini (via a hosted gateway) to analyze CVs, score jobs, and draft cover letters. CV content is sent to the model for the sole purpose of returning your analysis. We do not train third-party models on your data.

Sub-processors
- Supabase (EU) — database, auth, storage.
- Google Gemini via Lovable AI Gateway — AI processing.
- Job boards (Adzuna, Jooble, Findwork, RemoteOK, Remotive, Himalayas, WeWorkRemotely, Jobicy, Arbeitnow) — we send your search keywords and location; not your CV.
- Stripe — payment processing (if you upgrade to Premium).

Your rights (GDPR)
You can access, export, correct, or delete your data at any time from the Preferences page, or by emailing info@applybean.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.

Retention
We keep your CV and analyses for as long as your account is active. Deleting your account removes all associated data within 30 days.

Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access is protected by Row-Level Security policies so only you can read your data.

Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced by email or in-app notice.
